MEASURES FOR THE ACID CLEANING EFFICIENCY:

Acid Concentration test:

During acid washing, the operator should determine the concentration of the circulating spent acid once in every 30 minutes by chemical titrimetric analysis and make sure concentration remains 5~6% HCL (w/w)  if not, maintain the concentration by adding concentrated acid. If Three consecutive identical concentration reading remain same (not decreasing anymore) this will indicate that all the precipitates have been removed and circulation can be stopped.

Resistance test :

This resistance test can be carried out on empty electrolyzer immediate to the  acid cleaning, Flushing & drain,  measured resistance of each electrolyzer will be same and result will be in mega Ohms which indicates further precipitation not inside the electrolyzer.

Individual electroyzer voltage:

We suggested to make a permanent arrangement to measure the individual electrolyzer voltage this will solve most of the problems.
