Brine is a solution of sodium chloride (NaCl) and water (H2O). The process of electrolysis involves using an electrical current to bring about a chemical change and make new chemical. The electrolysis of brine is a large scale process used to manufacture chlorine from salt.

Process:
We, Tiaano is the manufacturer of electro chlorinators. Electro Chlorinator (ECU) generates sodium hypochlorite from brine solution by electrolytic process. The process requires a brine solution of 30 GPL prepared using water and pure salt, i.e., [food grade pure salt without additives (99.5%)]. When direct current is passed through the electrode assembly, sodium chloride is converted into sodium hypochlorite at a concentration of 6000 – 8000 ppm (0.6 % – 0.8 %) in batch duration of 8 hours’ time. Our Electro Chlorinator system includes Reaction Tank, Hypo Tank, Dozing pump, Skid and pipe & fittings.
