Hypochlorite cells for Monopolar or Bipolar arrangements

Ti Anode fabricators pvt. ltd., India offers an extensive range of anode and cathode modules with various types of platinum group precious metal oxide (catalyst) coatings suited to a host of electrochemical processes with long times & low operating potentials. One among them is hypochlorite cells for Monopolar or bipolar arrangement.

The chlorine content of the hypochlorite produced is in the range 6–8 g Cl2/l. The electrical consumption is 4–4.5 kWh per kg of chlorine produced; a low voltage direct current is used. Hydrogen gas is produced at the cathode at the rate of 330 litres at 15°C and 1 bar pressure, per kg of chlorine produced. Cell voltages, with the coating life guarantee of 3 to 5 years, depends on the current density and material of construction. Reverse polarization cells are guaranteed up to to 1 years, or depend on the operating condition.

Efficient production of sodium hypochlorite (NaOCl) is optimized by Tiaano’s unique design utilizing multiple electrode assembly. For larger system capacities, multi sodium Hypochlorite electrolytic cells are to be arranged side-by-side. NaOCl is to produce on-site as needed at relatively low concentrations, assuring longer half-life than commercial hypo-chlorite (bleach).
